HOW TO JOIN THE FDIA

Thank you for showing interest in joining the FDIA.

Please see the step-by-step list below on how to apply for membership.

Fully complete the application form. Please take note of the sections that need to be completed for each level.

  • You are required to attach proof of the requirements as per level as listed under “Company requirements”.

  • You are required to attach proof of the verification requirements as listed under “Verification requirements as required per level.

  • Read and sign the Code of ethics.

  • Once you have completed the application form and prepared all the required documents, you can then email your completed application, company requirements and Code of conduct to admin@fdia.co.za.

  • Once the paperwork has been approved and if you have selected a level of registration that requires the verification requirements. You will be sent the information of the SANAS accredited 3rd party inspections company that you will need to contact and book for your observations and inspections.

  • Once all the documentation has been received, the FDIA Committee will review your application form and send you the outcome.

  • Only once your application has been approved will an invoice be generated and sent to you.

  • Your membership status will be indicated on the website once proof of payment is received.

Membership Levels

We have recently updated the membership levels for membership applications. We have added a “Prospect Member”. Please see the details below.

Prospect Member

This is the lowest level and the company has to meet the “Company Requirements” but no independent inspection/verification is required.

The company will be listed on the website showing the company name and no further details will be shown. The company will have no voting rights and no seat on the committee.

Conditional Installation Companies

This level will require the company to submit the requested Company and Verification requirements.

Installation Companies

This level will require the company to submit the requested Company and Verification requirements.

If the Installation Company does not meet the Verification requirements in time for the annual registrations, they will be down graded to the Prospect Member.
